Our Environmental Seed Mixes Range

We can supply tailored seed mixes for your agri-environment schemes taking account of site conditions and scheme requirements. Examples of our seed mixes are displayed below:-

AHW3: Beetle Banks

SFI Requirement: a mixture of fine-leaved and tussocky grasses

Our Seed Mix: fine-leaved grass with 3 tussocky grass species

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship AB3

CAHL1: Pollen & Nectar Mix

SFI Requirement: Grass-free seed mix with at least 6 flower species and at least 2 of the following: Common knapweed, Musk mallow, Oxeye daisy, Wild carrot, Yarrow

Our Seed Mix: contains Wild carrot and Yarrow with 6 other flowering species

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship AB1 and SFI 2023 AHL1

CAHL4: 4m-12m Grass Buffer Strip on Arable & Horticultural Land

SFI Guidance: a mixture of native grass species

Our Seed Mix: 6 varieties of grasses

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship SW1 and SFI 2023 AHL4

CSAM2: Multi-species Winter Cover Crop

SFI Requirement: must contain at least 2 species from 2 or more of the following families: brassicas, legumes, cereals or grasses, and herbs. 

Our Seed Mix: 3 grasses and 2 legumes

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship SW6 and SFI 2023 SAM2

CSAM3: Herbal Leys

SFI Requirement: must contain at least 1 grass species, 2 legume species and 2 herb or wildflower species. 

Our Seed Mix: 6 grasses, 4 legumes and 5 herbs/wildflowers

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship GS4 and SFI 2023 SAM3

CNUM3: Legume Fallow

SFI Requirement: must contain at least 6 flowering species, including legumes.

Our Seed Mix: 6 flowering species, with or without 2 tussocky grasses

Also compatible with: Countryside Stewardship AB15 and SFI 2023 NUM3

CIPM2: Flower-Rich Grass Margins

SFI Requirement: must contain at least 4 grass species and 10 wildflower species

Our Seed Mix: 8 grass species and 14 wildflower species

CIPM3: Companion Crop

SFI Guidance: dependent upon main arable or horticultural crop

Cutting Leys

Sprint – a highly productive short-term Italian Ryegrass ley lasting 2 years, suitable for silage, haylage or hay.

Pit Filler – a high-yielding silage mixture, which will last 3 to 4 years with the potential for excellent aftermath grazing.

Long Term Multi-Cut – a high-performing ley with great persistency suitable for long-term silage making.

Grazing Leys

Long Term Grazing  (with or without Clover) – an exceptionally productive grazing ley that features the top Aber grass varieties available featured in the AHDB recommended list. 

Cutting & Grazing Leys

Dual Purpose – a 5-year ley with a balanced blend of intermediate and late heading varieties, making the ideal flexible long-term cutting and grazing ley.

Greengold (with or without Clover) – Dual-purpose long-term ley suitable for all livestock systems.
