Ecological Surveys & Biodiversity Net Gain

Ecological Surveys & Biodiversity Net Gain

Working with

Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs)

We carry out Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) to support planning applications. These include field surveys to collect habitat data and assess the potential presence of protected species and species of conservation concern.

Ecological Impact Assessments (EIA)

Including detailed ecological surveys, assessment of ecological impacts and avoidance, mitigation and compensation measures. We also specialise in applications for screening decisions under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) (Agriculture) Regulations for changes that may impact uncultivated, semi-natural and rural land.

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Calculations

We do BNG calculations to support planning applications. Using data collected during the PEA field survey on identified habitats and their condition, the BNG base line is calculated using the Natural England Metric. Preparation of a post development plan and BNG calculation based on habitat creation/enhancement to meet the mandatory BNG target.

Botanical & Species Surveys

These surveys include Great Crested Newt (GCN) surveys, badger surveys and breeding/wintering bird species.

Habitat Management & Monitoring Plans (HMMP)

We are experienced at producing HMMP where required for the granting of planning permission.

Landscape & Ecological Management Plans (LEMPS)

We are experienced at produing LEMPS where required for the granting of planning permission.

Biodiversity Gain Plans

We are experienced at producing Biodiversity Gain Plans where required for the granting of planning permission.
